A good library full of practical information is a necessity for anyone who hopes to survive a worldwide cataclysmic event. Without one you chances for long term survival are limited. Imagine soon after an 'event' that a member of your family starts having serious stomach pains. Would you know how to diagnose the problem? Would you be able to treat it effectively. Books such as 'Where there is no Doctor" might just save the family members life.

Many doomsday scenarios reduce us to subsistence lifestyles. Do you know how to plant, grow, harvest, thresh, mill wheat? Do you know the principles of organic farming or how to manage livestock?

Survivalists are well educated people and whilst it may not be possible to gain practical experience in all of these areas a good reference book will enable most to figure out the problem and develop a workable solution.

For some time I have been ordering books from Amazon.com for the simple reason that they were not generally available in Australia. I also found that whilst some Australian bookstores such as Dymocks will order books in for you the price is not significantly less than Amazon and, when you factor in availability and also delivery times, it was actually more cost effective to order from Amazon even with the exchange rate.

We have also added a new range of categories of books of interest to Survivalists from the Amazon database. You can browse, view and select books from the categories and, when finished, send the information off to Amazon to be securely processed. The key advantages are that we have done the searching and sorting for you and the process is much quicker than using Amazon's site itself.

Why should we buy through you?

This website is run by volunteers and we don't get paid for doing it. All the costs that are associated with it we pay for ourselves.

We have recently had to upgrade our hosting due to the number of visitors and the popularity of the forum. This more than doubled our hosting fees alone. In order to keep the site free of ads (which will slow it down and detract from its ease of use) we need your help. Purchasing books through our site will enable us to offset the expenses of maintaining the site.

We have also learned that due to events such as 9/11 that the US government is looking a prohibiting the sale of some books and almanacs (such as a few of those published by Paladin Press) in case these are used for planning purposes by terrorists.

Amazon carries the entire Paladin Press catalogue and we strongly suggest that if you have been putting off any purchases you buy now as they may not be available later.
